Rebellion

What's the most rebellious thing you've ever done? (Appropriate only please!) What motivated you? Even better: ask a parent, grandparent, etc. the most rebellious thing they ever did.

Though in everybody else's eyes this might not seem too rebelious, it is to me.

At my work, there are two coffee machines. One is for customers and it has good, expensive, fresh-brewed coffee. The other is for employees, the coffee is terrible and sits all day in the pot burning. My boss has told all of the employees that we are not allowed to drink from the customer coffee machine because it is the 'expensive' coffee. To me this seems ridiculous, so I silently rebel. While my boss is there, I comply with his wishes. However, once he leaves for the night, I fill up a coffee cup filled with the good stuff, from the customer machine. While this might seem a little bit ridiculous to everybody else, to me it is rebelion at its finest.

The most rebellious thing that I’ve ever done was ironically enough with my family. My family belonged to the village swim club behind the Hilton for many years. My mom had grown up spending her summers there. The club has two sections one is the pool and the other is the picnic area with grills and stuff. We were there one night close to closing (we would always go after my mom got home from work until they closed at 8). Well one night my mom got home later and we were still barbequing dinner on the grill in between swimming. The lifeguards closed the pool and the bathrooms and locked the gate to the pool entry, but we could continue eating. After the life guards left my brother complained that he wished he could still go swimming on account that it was still light out. Well, my mom replied “You see that fence it’s only five feet tall I’m sure that you could just jump it.” So my brother and I went over the fence and swam in the pool until it was too dark to even tell where we were. We felt on top of the world, mostly because we were doing back flips of the lift guards chairs.
The story is ironic because technically what we did was wrong and my mom was the one who wanted us to do it.
The start of my grandmas rebellious faze was really very funny. She lived in a rural town in Illinois. The night of her prom she brought a flask filled with alcohol and she would go into the bathroom and drink it with her friends by the end of the night she was plastered and happy. In that small town that little flask was her only sense of freedom because every one there knew your name and your family.
It then led to her running away to join a traveling bad.

The most rebellious thing i've ever done was sneaking out in 7th grade on a weekend when my parents said I couldn't go out. My parents strictly told me that I had to stay home and study. But after they both went to work, I walked all the way to Hammarskjold to meet with my friends. I asked my friend's parents to drive me back home. My parents never found out about my fun day. Although a lot of kids sneak out, I rarely ever try so this is considered big to me.
