An Existential Take On "The Scream"

This funny clip from Play It Again, Sam shows this woman's interpretation of the painting, The Scream, which other bloggers have already posted about. Her perception of it is highly existential: she says that the painting represents "the hideous lonely emptiness of existence, the nothingness, the predicament of man forced to live in a barren, godless eternity, like a tiny flame flickering in an immense void, with nothing but waste, horror, and degradation". Do you agree with her? While so many say that life is full of meaning, there are many who disagree. There are many people who feel that life has no meaning.
